I've been working with Bugout throughout the years. In my current home, I have Bugout services for general pest control, termites, as well as lawn treatment services. They are rather knowledgeable regarding exclusion services towards pests entry points.
Having said these things, the most recent no-cost sales visit was to set-up lawn treatment services so as to address an intense presence of ants in the lawn; the fruits of these services will be seen as the technician applied the first treatment for that, yesterday. So, why three stars here? The salesperson at this recent visit for ants in the lawn asked to go into my home; I obliged; he reviewed the attic, all corners, and the perimeter inside the home; this followed the exterior/foundation review. As he walked up his ladder so as to view inside the attic, he asked me to hold his ladder for safety. I agreed. I hoped to myself it would end, soon; the feces odor in his footwear was unbearable as anyone might imagine. I likely was his first visit that day as it was around 9 a.m. when he arrived. I did walk, extensively, throughout my lawn later that day for mowing; I didn't step in anything, myself; the feces was likely already in his footwear. Before he left that day, he asked to borrow a broom to clean up any mess he made inside the house; I replied I'd be vacuuming, myself, and thanked him anyway. My covered front porch has a carpeting cover, but the rest of the home's interior has all wood floors. My vacuuming began on the carpeted front porch with the rest of the home's interior following.
Remember he began outside the home with entering the home to follow? His entry to the home was by way of my covered front porch, wiping his feet, extensively, on the carpeting.
By midnight that night, the odor of feces was everywhere inside my home having vacuumed the porch carpeting, followed by the rest of the interior. I needed to mop and sanitize all interior flooring, and I also bought an overnight delivery lavender scented baking soda to douse my porch carpeting for some attempt of cleaning the feces from that carpeting.
For some reason, the entire house sales review was necessary for sales purposes as I have yet to apply all appropriate pest exclusions to my home; I get that; nonetheless, this sales visit was for outdoor ants in the lawn.
If I have a takeaway for life lessons here when a sales visit is for lawn treatment services--the sales person has no need to go inside my home.
Otherwise, pest treatment services seem generally stellar; so, thanks for that.
